Lavender Bay Historical Note:

Lavender Bay is located 3 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district; it is in the local government area of North Sydney Council. This harbourside suburb is in the lower North Shore area.

The suburb actually takes its name from the natural features of Lavender Bay. Situated on Port Jackson, to the west of the Sydney Harbour Bridge it lays between McMahon’s Point and Milsons Point. This residential suburb has views overlooking Sydney Harbour

Lavender Bay was named after George Lavender a bosun on the Prison hulk *Phoenix* which was moored there for many years. George Lavender lived on 14 acres of land here adjacent to the property of Billy Blue. The area was originally called Hulk Bay and was sometimes called Phoenix Bay

Lavender Bay railway station opened in 1915 and ran for seven weeks it had been opened to take the place of Milsons Point railway station but passengers refused to get off at Lavender Bay.

Client wanted the two laptops set up and added to the network


The la;ptops were configured and aaded to the network, tested for printing and internet access.

Both worked ;roperly.  Requires software were also installed

The computer cannot connect to the network


Reconfigured the router and connected the computer and the other devices, including 3 smartphones.

Laptop over heating issue


GPU is causing the laptop to overheat, opened laptop and cleared dust out of the GPU which resolved issue.

Client needed help with new Android phone - set up and data management


Data from iPhone 4S, i.e., all contacts and photos etc. copied and transferred to Samsung phablet. Configured e-mail addresses on the new android phone.  Ensured that the smart phone can print using airprint capable Epson XP420.  All working fine.
