Varroville Historical Note:

Varroville is located 46 kilometres south west of the Sydney central business district; it is in the local government area of the City of Campbelltown, and, it is part of the Macarthur region.

Varroville is part of the scenic hills on the North West side of the M5 South Western Motorway, between Camden Valley Way and Campbelltown.

Varroville was originally a farm named Varro Ville.  In 1809 Governor Lachlan Macquarie granted Dr Robert Townson 1,000 acres of land here. Townson developed the farm, raised cattle and grew a vineyard. In 1837 the farm was sold, and by 1900 Varro Ville was a leading dairy farm in the Campbelltown area. The farmhouse fell into disrepair but has been restored by its new owners and the National Trust,

In 1972 the name Varroville was officially adopted for the area between Denham Court and Raby which had previously been known as Minto.

Neighbouring suburbs include Leppington, Catherine Field, Raby, Denham Court, and Ingleburn
