Woodpark Historical Note:

Woodpark is located 29 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district; it is in the local government area of the City of Holroyd.

Woodpark is a small suburb; it is a residential area with no Industrial areas and a small commercial centre. Near the main road there is a petrol station and a small row of stores including Poppy’s Take Away and Reef and Beef.

There are two stops along the T-way bus system in Woodpark.

Woodpark’s postcode is 2164. It is surrounded by Greystanes, Smithfield, Merrylands West and Guildford West. In these suburbs Woodpark is well serviced by industrial areas and retail shopping centres, food outlets, supermarkets. Located at Smithfield is a TAFE Facility.

The canal road park runs through Woodpark, this was a water canal used to transport water from the Prospect Reservoir. It has been decommissioned and converted into a walkway and cycleway, despite this it is still referred to by its original function.
